Medical Terminology Lesson 7 Video

This lesson will give general, simple definitions of anemia, epidermis, dermis, pericardium, thyroid gland, thyroxine, tachycardia, and exophthalmos.  It will show the differences in spelling and pronunciation between the singular and plural in some words.  It tells the difference between a nephrologist and urologist.  It goes over some symptoms of hyperthyroidsim.  There is a quiz at the end--remember you can pause and mute sound.

Harry Potter and the Babylonian Deity: A Harry Potter/Sinister Crossover Fan Fiction Story

Picture done by me, May 2016 *Author’s Note:   This short story is a crossover between two movies, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (and the other movies) and Sinister.   I do not own the rights to either movie.  Most of the events in the story take place two years before Harry got his Hogwarts letter, and it takes place when Ellison Oswalt published his first book Kentucky Blood —so it takes place before the events in the first Sinister movie.  As this story jumps back and forth in time, pay attention to the year so you can keep it straight.  This story is probably more geared to Sinister fans.  Harry Potter fans may not like what I’m doing with their characters, as to make them fit the Sinister theme, I’m making them less admirable.  There may be spoilers to the movies. My Review of Journey Girl Jordana Limited Holiday Edition 2013

This doll is special for two reasons: 1) She is being released for the holidays, and 2) she is the first introductory doll of the newest Journey Girl, Jordana.  I have to admit, I was blown away by this doll when I first saw her on Toysrus.com.  Journey Girls are my favorite 18 inch doll, but I have to admit I was surprised that they added a fashionista to the group.  That is what Jordana is claimed to be--the Journey Girl who loves to study fashion trends.  To me, this seemed to go against the idea of a Journey Girl.  Journey Girls always seemed to be the "hot nerds"...girls that didn't mind getting dirty, who may not shave their legs, or mind having B.O.  However, there is no doubt that a fashionista would appeal to a certain group of little girls...and adult collectors. Jordana, being a limited holiday edition, costs a bit more than the usual price for Journey Girl dolls.  Generally, they go for $32.99, and it is around $40 after shipping and tax...
