This is one of my friends on Happify.  This video will tell a bit of her story.  I always enjoyed reading her posts because she takes delight in things that we all take for granted.  She spent many years being crippled and totally dependent on other people.  Her life changed when a doctor realized she had been misdiagnosed. When most of us hear the word autism, we think of Rainman.  However, this diagnosis is becoming quite common, and the fact is that autism has many faces. A friend of mine on Happify has a son that has autism.  Despite this problem--particularly when he grew up in a time when much was not known about it--he has a pretty normal life.  He has started a blog with the hopes of helping people understand autism better. I like these people.  Aside from making me laugh, it also makes me think, "Hey! Good point! Why didn't they do that?  Oh, yeah...we wouldn't have had a movie."
